RhinoTrace™ is RhinoCap's vehicle identification and tracking platform. It gives each vehicle a machine-readable identity with RFID, stamps the VIN into every scan image as the vehicle passes the gate, forwards the images to the OEM's AI pipeline to spec, and records every movement on the yard as an auditable chain of custody.

Automated gates produce high-quality multi-angle images, but the images carry no identity. The OEM's AI pipeline needs every image set bound to a VIN. Manual entry is slow and error-prone, and scanner manufacturers don't provide identification. That integration gap is what RhinoTrace fills.
From unloading to parking, scanning, staging and release there is no per-vehicle trail. A single lost or disputed export vehicle, worth US$80,000–120,000, costs more than a year of the system.
Vehicles move between intake, wash, workshop, test drive, lot and delivery. Without identity on the scan, scan data never reaches the repair order.
Mis-attributed images corrupt the manufacturer's damage-detection data. RhinoTrace's design rule: an image whose match is not confirmed is never sent.
RhinoTrace reads the scanner's image output directory or endpoint. The scanning equipment itself is untouched and the OEM's existing damage-assessment flow is unaffected.
About 30–45 seconds per vehicle. VIN check-digit validation and model decoding provide double protection against tagging the wrong vehicle.

The operations console shows each passing vehicle's VIN, image thumbnails and match / stamp / delivery status in real time.
RhinoTrace records every change of state as an event. Events are append-only and never overwritten, so the log itself is chain-of-custody evidence.

RhinoTrace uses FCC-certified, off-the-shelf hardware from U.S., Taiwanese and European brands (readers, antennas, edge computers, tags), meeting NDAA Section 889 and FCC Covered List requirements. Every quotation includes an NDAA Section 889 Compliance Statement and country-of-origin list.
All wireless equipment runs in its certified configuration. The software exposes no power or frequency adjustment.
VINs are treated as quasi-personal data: stored in the U.S., encrypted in transit, access fully auditable.
Deployment and maintenance staff hold TWIC credentials and port safety training. Installations are approved by the Facility Security Officer.
